more time on the boat

There are a ton of older people on this boat, more than I have ever seen even on our transatlantic and we were wait listed for the second dining.  I mean I know that these are mainly European people who eat later anyway, but the second dining seating is at 8:30pm and
we didn’t get back to the room from dinner until 11pm.  And no other sea I’ve been in (and this is also crossing the Atlantic) has anything on the North Sea as far as rocking and rolling, pitching and yawing.  There were times that even in bed with the Bonine in my system, I thought that dinner was coming back up on me.  All I really did all night was knock into John heavily when I would try to roll over and the ship was rolling at the same time.  The rest of the ship is serviceable.  It’s not as nicely decorated as the Coral Princess, there’s not as much going on as on a Carnival cruise, the food is okay, except for the bread which is exceptional.  I might just survive off only bread products if I’m
going to pick my calories to correspond to what I most want to eat.    We are having an easy time running up and down the stairs to all the different decks and walking all over the ship, it actually feels small and doable after all the walking and climbing through Italy that we have done.

We went up yesterday before the show and right before leaving the dock to get in the hot tub because it was raining a little and in the 60’s.  The hot tubs felt great on our poor, abused bodies after all
this time and the cool rain hitting you felt even better than the snow that Steph is found of in her hot tub.  We definitely got some looks from others and asked where we came from because everyone thought that we must be from the North Pole in our swimsuits in this weather.  I guess that we are true                Michiganders now….
