more days at sea

We have had the same times in every port so far, arrive at 8am,
leave at 4:30pm until today.  We are supposed to leave at 3:30 and we sit at the railing to watch the people running for the dock when we first blow the horn to leave.  The amount of people who didn’t pay attention were astounding, but even when they realize that we’re going to leave soon, they don’t pick up the pace to get on the boat.  A public shaming would be
appropriate I think.  We do dress up for Christmas dinner in the dining room, but the service is so slow that Lena falls asleep on the table.  We have to wake her up when her food gets there, but she doesn’t want to eat at that point.  John goes to have his cigar and Oscar and I head to the show for 5 minutes before he is bored and

we head up to the top deck to sit outside and enjoy and ice cream cone.  It’s a great end to a warm, lovely day at the beach and in port.
