We spend some time sleeping in and I bring breakfast to the
room
for the boys who are still not feeling the best. We do get to put Oscar back in the kid’s club, but he starts to cry when we put him in and the staff say that they can’t take him if he is crying, so John goes back to the room to get doggie to go with him. Oscar gets doggie and walks right in to the club. We get a little more time on our own to just sit and enjoy the cruise some, but too soon it’s time to pick up Oscar who is proud of his picture that he colored. We meet the Schillims to find out that Lena is sick, which would make John patient 0 if there is something going around with all of us. We head to the magic show and I’m not sure if Oscar understands what’s going on in the show, but once the magician pulls up a few kids on the stage, Oscar only wants to know when it’s “my turn”. When I explain to him that he most likely isn’t going to get a turn, he’s done and ready to leave. We run into Santa (this is a man who looks like Santa with a real beard and the hat and everything who Oscar always sees and breathes "Santa....", but hates the guys in fake beards and suits) in the lounge and he gets a candy cane, which makes up for a lot of things. We go to bed to get ready for a big day in Aruba. We have actual plans to see some things and just have to decide if we’re going to take a taxi or not. I’m sorry that there’s not more to report here on these days, but I have to admit that the boat is forgettable, the activities are not interesting, and even the food is not good. I’m so disappointed in this cruise and suddenly I understand why Sheila says, “not another Caribbean cruise”. But then I think of being cold and covered in snow in Michigan and perk right back up….
