Staying Clean on the Road

John goes back out this evening to get some things at a market so
we can snack when we’re in for the night, or don’t have to worry about food first thing in the morning and Oscar and I watch youtube videos on how to use the washer and dryer that are in here.  It’s crazy getting to participate in every cycle that your washer goes through for you.  I get to first hand see the
agitating, do the spinning, rinsing, and spinning again and get to drain the washer.  While John has to figure out the crazy parachute dryer that basically blows warm air around on the clothes on hangers in the balloon.  It’s wild and we only do a couple of loads, but it’s  different and fun.  We’re seeing awesome things most of the days, but there are still these times when we’re just focused on housework, chores, or keeping things in order.  We have to go through the tickets, receipts, debris we’re accumulating and figure out
what needs to be kept, thrown out, sent home.  There’s all these small things like still parenting, getting down time with just watching videos or talking about what we’re going to do and see while we’re here.  The pictures make it sound like it’s all sunshine (or rain) and roses, but all the usual things still happen, fights, arguments, bad moods, headaches, colds, and problems with sleep.  You just get to forget about it all for most of the day because you’re excited about seeing the sites, then

surprised when your body hurts at the end of the day.  Or surprised that you feel hungover in the morning even though you didn’t drink because you didn’t get enough sleep to recuperate from the day before.  Half my home could disappear and we wouldn’t notice since we don’t apparently “need” these things, but I’m not giving up my washer, dryer or dishwasher after seeing these things in action.  I’m far too dependent on appliances to do my work for me.
