Christmas on the ship

A sea day and we need the break.  Four ports in a row is a bit much.  We get to sleep in today and maybe go in the pool or something like that, but most likely not because I’m still trying to avoid the sun as much as possible.  Princess calls their schedule for the day with all the activities listed the “Princess Patter”.  I have not been able to recall this name and called it the “Pitter Patter” the other night at dinner.  We have all
been calling it that since that time, but tonite, John screwed up and asked what the “Pity Patter” said and this struck us as uproariously funny.  Probably the most that we have laughed on this ship, which is sad since they had comedians on this ship.  The most that we laughed at one of the shows was when the mentalist asked a guy from the audience for a four letter word and he said, “boat” with his wife up on stage with him.

“Have you ever had sex on a boat,” asked the mentalist and the man automatically said, “No.”

“This is a boat,” said the mentalist and the man said “Yes,” with his wife rolling her eyes behind him.  Wow.  It is really hard to write dialogue between some characters, good thing that I only blog in first person narrative, much easier and why I’m never going to write the great American novel like I thought I would.
