A nice, lazy Saturday and
Sunday with some little bits of shopping
here and there. It was interesting to buy lotion and toothpaste in a larger than travel size bottle as we will be able to use the majority of it while still here. I also went crazy in the produce section of the grocery store because all of the produce that we have gotten so far has been amazing from
grapes, to corn cobs, to cherries. I don’t know where it is all coming from, weird places like Israel and the like, but it is all very good and these summer flavors are very appealing right now. We are experiencing a bit of a cool down from when we arrived here. The first couple of days, John couldn’t quit sweating just sitting in the living room, but now, you need socks and long sleeves in the house, a windbreaker when you leave it. People are still eating ice cream and stuff like it’s summer, but it doesn’t feel like it. This makes for good sleeping at night because there is no A/C just like in most of Michigan, but I wouldn’t mind a little warmer during the days as it is the middle of June. Maybe I should be careful what I wish for. This is going to be an eventful week because John will start his class, Margaret will be able to go to France (if the train strike there ends) and Netherlands plays another world cup game. If this one is as successful as the last, this could a great place to be for the summer.
