Just a lazy day in the Marais

We slept in while the group went to Versailles today and while
Oscar is a lot better, we’re not going to be away from his medications and the bed for long yet.  Tomorrow, we’re going to go to Disneyland and today is the day to try to see if he can longer periods without medication and the fever not coming back.  So, we have some breakfast and then I think that we’ll do some

shopping around the area, because I still need Paris souvenirs, but we’re not in the souvenir section.  I do find a Monoprix and they are having a sale on clothing and I find some cute things for some of the kids, but then find out that I can’t get the sale prices without having a Monoprix card.  So, that’s a wash.  We walk a different way around the area of our hotel and
while there are cool shops, these people live in Paris, so they don’t need their things to say Paris or have the Eiffel Tower on it.  But we both got out and got some sunshine and Oscar just enjoys watching the traffic.  What I’m shocked about is that he doesn’t want to go look for puppy.  The chances of us finding    him are remote, but I expected him to want to go look, but every time I ask, he says “not
yet”.  I tried to explain that we are running out of days in Paris and I know that he gets it.  The group gets back about 8pm and we go for a dinner in a nice Italian restaurant above the Republique plaza and Oscar is in heaven because he just watches the traffic the whole time that John and I have passable pizza and spaghetti carbonara.  Again, nothing great.  I only have
one night left for something good here, because we’re sure as hell not eating at Disney.  We bought some snacks for there because I’m not paying for food there and we have our tickets, which were more expensive because it’s a weekend, but still not Orlando prices.  Oscar has done well off his meds and is acting like his old self, so I guess we're a go for Disney, which is a good thing because he knows that we're supposed to go there.
