laundry and Piazzel Michelangelo

After taking a train from Pisa back to Florence we had an hour and a half of free time and I was going to do a load of laundry come hell or high water.  Got the laundry together and humped it down to the wash place and got screwed by all these other
people who didn’t come get their laundry on time or decided to dry longer or whatever else, so I was going to have to meet the group up on Piazzele Michelangelo after getting this stuff done.  This was where it paid to know the professors.  I
mean I did make it up there and before the sun was really down, but I wasn’t with the group when I should have been because of doing said professors' laundry.  My bus up there took forever, but I did get to have a very nice discussion in the Laundromat with a doctor who
was completing a training on a new therapy for joints and ligaments that doesn’t involve surgery developed in Madison, WI.  So, if anyone needs any help in this department (looking at you Bill Frayer) look up proto therapy, it’s just glucose injections, so can’t hurt anything and apparently has been helping a lot of people.   I thought John would be delirious to see me, but he
took it in stride, hell the students made more of my arrival than my husband.  Put me off a little, but he says that he got tired of running over to every bus that showed up to see if I was on it.  I don’t know if I buy that, he seemed too busy trying to light his pipe to have bothered with that.  We all walked down from the summit and some students were getting ready to party to
celebrate the 20th birthday of one of our party.  Another great night in Florence, but I needed to buy some gloves people.  Walking through the leather market one day, I saw them and thought it was something that I would really use in Michigan.  John and I looked at several pair, but every color I wanted the guy didn’t have in cashmere lined.  So, I price checked everywhere and this stall had the best deal, and I was determined to get some.

  1. Thank you, thank you, thank you for taking the time to shaire your journey with us. It has put Italy back on our bucket list but, only if you and John go with us! Glad you got some laundry done. I was thankful that the winds usually blow from the west. LOL Enjoy the cruise and relax. You truly deserve it! I'll miss hearing from you. Maybe there will be some free hot spots at some of the shore venues.
