Drunk in Copenhagen

We walked all over the city and on the way back to the boat, John wanted to stop at a “cheap beer” place that Rick Steve’s mentioned in his book and we stopped and got some diet coke, and beers from the area.  I planned to smuggle my diet coke back on board and John
was going to have two beers before we got back to the ship while I had one.  One thing he failed to notice was that one of the beers that we got was high alcohol content.  So, within 30 minutes of having one beer with no food since a simple roll this morning,
John was lit up.  He was adorable with his excitement about the changing of the guard and willing to do things that he wouldn’t have done sober.  He went up to the guard to have a picture taken with him holding
up his beer and was told to step back.  He barreled to the front of the line to watch the changing on the guard and found everything hysterical like a sign for “Dong energy” and a guy in front of us on the gangway to
reboard who was wearing “gas” jeans.  He did that pathetic drunk whisper that is not a whisper saying, “His jeans say, “GAS””.  He at least made it up the gangway and back on the boat for some lunch.  Rick
Steves was right again though, the beer was seriously cheap.  Between 3 beers of high alcohol content and a diet coke which in Europe is usually more expensive than beer we only spent $9 in Danish Kroner.  So, we still have a lot of Danish

Kroner left, but we have been able to use all of our other monies that we got out pretty well.  It was actually a good thing that we got rubles because they didn’t take anything else
most of the places that we went in Russia.  The conversion rate was hard though because it’s 33 to 1 though.
