Boston finally

To Boston and we were able to find the hotel easily with the directions and get checked in.  We are not within walking distance
of John’s conference (or anything else for that matter) but are close to a train stop.  We decide with what’s left of the day to go to Fenway Park since we only have a few hours in the day and the guy at the desk said that I could find souvenirs for Oscar that say “Beantown” there.  He didn’t
warn us that the train was super slow going along Commonwealth and getting a stroller on and off platforms or switching trains on a subway is not fun.  But we did it and got to Fenway, which again, we could have used more signs.  John recognized the Citgo sign you can see behind the Green
Monster and that’s how we knew which way to go.  John got to take some pictures of Fisk’s retired number and we walked around the entire stadium.  I have to admit that I was disappointed.  I expected Wrigleyville type stuff around the stadium and everything was closed except for the House of
Blues which was having some concert that brought people out in droves.  So, no gear at all, much less something that said Beantown, so we headed back to the hotel for John to get ready for his paper in the morning.
