stops for me and John and something for Boo

Moving on through Connecticut to Rhode Island and everything is
under construction, so another major traffic wait in Conn.  Then we dip down toward Long Island sound in order to make I-95 to Rhode Island and we figure, let’s go see the Long Island sound since it’s right there and there is a state park there.  Parking prices at the state beach are ridiculous for
just seeing some water, so we move along and John does find cheap liquor in Connecticut.  And for those of you who don’t already know it, Rhode Island is small, so finding a stop in the approvimately 45 miles that we are actually in the state is harder than we thought, because, again, no signage.
And these east coast states do a good job of hiding the interstate.  I’m on i-95 which is the hugest artery in the US in most places and it’s like I’m on 131 in Michigan.  There are only trees to either side of a 4 lane road.  And when an exit appears, you can’t see anything but trees, so you think there is nowhere to stop, but then when you are past it, you see a huge shopping center in the rearview mirror.  So, John gets out the map and sees that there is an historic mill at the last exit in Rhode Island and we are going to go see it, but without signs that are informational, we turn the wrong way and come up on a yarn outlet store instead.  Good for me and a stop in Rhode Island like John wanted.  The lady at the outlet was glad for the company I think and let Oscar play with yarn fruit and even gave me the pattern because he can catch it and hold it, so I’ll be making some of those when we get home.
