Some more time in sunny Florida

After-Christmas shopping, which didn’t go that well because we hit
Walmart and got some diapers, wipes, and other essentials like wrapping paper for the rest of the gifts that we have to give, but then we went on to the flea market and Oscar did not like it.  He was fighting a nap and it was hot in the tin shed that it was located in and just cried the entire time in the stroller.  Mom was walking him and she kept thinking that if she just walked faster, he would quit crying, but it didn’t work and my mother is a mile ahead of me with a screaming baby in a stroller
with people getting out of her way like a dragon is walking through the flea market.  He had to be fanned in the back seat by John and it made me realize that this is the first time the boy has probably ever sweated.  So, we headed home and he took a nap, which was what he was fighting the whole
time anyway.  We were able to use the time with him sleeping to teach mom and dad how to play cribbage which is a game that I really enjoy now and one that they are learning.  We were able to get through a whole game before the baby woke back up and had to be played with, entertained, and entertaining us.  He is all smiles, playing and jumping on Nana, back to me and back to Nana who has developed a game of
grabbing his hand when he is giving high fives.  He is playing with his toys, having fun with bath time and Nana tried to steal him a toy at Walmart today, but we convinced her that we had to pay for it even if he had eaten off the barcode like a good boy (call CPS).  We’re spending lots of time just talking, sitting in the backyard, swinging and watching things like monkey squirrels because it is such nice weather (a little too hot and a little too humid)but I’m not complaining, merely commenting.
