Christmas day and I don’t think a
one year old makes it much
different than adult Christmas because Oscar doesn’t know what’s going on. He looked at some of his gifts from Nana and Poppy and then spent time tearing up tissue paper while the rest of us got to open gifts, eat breakfast, and then finish the grown ups gifts. John and I didn’t even bring anything for him because we knew that he would be hitting pay dirt at his grandparents and his birthday stuff was overwhelming to him. He has enough and we couldn’t transport it back as it was. John and I got each other small stuff that would be easyto transport with this in mind and while the clothes and other gifts we got from mom and dad should fit, the rocking horse is going to be a stretch in the car. We had a great Christmas and a great dinner that mom made. We had previous neighbors in Canadian Lakes over and mom made a standing rib crown roast that was a great departure from turkey or ham as the norm for a holiday dinner. I could have just avoided the corn, green beans and mashed potatoes and just eaten several cuts of that meat. It was a delicious meal and it was nice to spend time with old friends.
