We have been driving around
Timber Pines and seeing all the
houses of the people that we know from Canadian Lakes, and ran into old neighbors that we didn’t think that we were going to get to see. It’s like my parents living in Canadian Lakes was only long enough that they could figure out where everyone went in winter andfollow them with pre-made friends….it’s amazing to see flowers blooming, birds, lizards, living things everywhere when even though it’s not that cold at home, things are slowing down and quieter. Well, here it’s 86 degrees and nothing is stopping. Oscar got put in his
swing that Nana and Poppy put in just for him and he loves it. Of course, he doesn’t know that his daddy has to stand behind him to shield him from golf balls while he is swinging, so it doesn’t ruin the enjoyment. We see people on the tee box do a double take and then hit a little left probably in order to avoid us. We have brought cooler weather clothes, but I’m afraid we’ll have to run around naked in order to feel comfortable in this heat. It never got this warm all through the summer in Michigan. This is the warmest temperatures that the Bean has ever felt I think and that John and I have
experienced in a few years. Watching John try to take pictures of us and the sandhill cranes without including the car with Ohio State on the side was priceless and it’s funny how we aren’t Michiganders, but we have incorporated that hatred because it must be passed on in the water in the state or something. John and dad got to play golf and we watched them come up on the 17th hole that mom and dad live on. John said that the round was a lot of fun and how much he likes an executive golf course because it seems more pleasant than the big ones…I would
most likely agree since I don’t like any 600 yard par 5 holes because you have to be in the PGA to complete it in 5 shots. It was a pleasant day, but didn’t seem to cool off and my hair is permanently frizzy which I don’t remember happening to me when I lived down south in my early years. Either it’s gotten more
