We have seen a couple of shows of brought on board
entertainers like an illusionist and some comedians, but tonight we saw a show
put on by the dancers and singers on the ship.
They did a Motorcity Motown tribute that was painful. Not only was the set of a skyline without missing windows or any graffiti in order to seem authentic to Detroit, I’m
fairly certain that Michael Jackson rolled over in his grave. When they started into Rollin on the River by
Ike and Tina, I thought that I would have to cry foul, but they didn’t massacre
it. John wanted to see the Illusionist
(who was pretty freakin awesome) again, but we have to be up at 6am to enter
the Panama Canal and we’re determined not to a miss a second of it. We also have to set our clocks back and
forward almost every night we’re crossing time zones, so who knows when we’re
really getting up.
Well, friends, I’m going to have to write about the
Panama Canal when I don’t feel like it because it will always be the day that
we found out that Sibyl died. I have no
cell phone service since Aruba, but was able to get on the free Panama internet
and send a post without pictures before we saw the email from John’s aunt. It took the wind out of our sails quite
literally and I’m not sure how to handle the rest of this cruise. But at least we have made the turn for home
and will be coming closer to Georgia with every day left.
