Bath to York, nice and slow

The next day is just a day to sit around and making sure we have all our needs met medicine wise and for the bus trip to York
tomorrow.  I go to the store for a few things and leave our place in sunshine and leave the grocery 15 minutes later in pouring rain.  But I was able to get the things that we needed and provide for a nice day inside, packing and making sure that the 8 days we’ve been here are all packed up and
ready to go in the morning.  We will have a washing machine at the next place, but we had a load of laundry done here after the fall in the mud and that has been a live saver.  We are on the bus all day for our trip to York.  3 hours to London and then 5 hours to
York after a one hour stop in London for lunch.  We get to London late and the bus bathroom is disgusting.  So, disgusting, I won’t walk in there.  Also, we are now in danger or missing our bus to York.  We finally find the bus departure gate and John and Oscar duck in to a little place to grab some snacks for the long bus ride and lunch.  We have been  unable to access the free wifi that comes on the bus so far and
I ask some drivers while we’re waiting in line what’s up with that.  The driver says that only the newest buses come with it.  I mention that the other buses have the signs, he says, “got you to buy a ticket didn’t they?”.  Well, I guess they did,
but our bus to York is clean and new and has wifi with no problem.  So, for 5 hours Oscar plays quietly on the phone playing games that are available on their platform.  There are a few views that are interesting, but mainly we’re on the highway.  I love the fact that we are just going to “The NORTH”, written exactly like that on the highway sign.  Can you imagine if you could just put the “SOUTH” on I-75 once you cross the Mason-Dixon Line?  I think that would be stellar.  We arrive in Leeds first and get a 15 minute stop to go to the bathroom, get some drinks, I find out from a woman that York is the next stop and she says that we’re going to love it.  We get a taxi to the Air BnB when we get there and are happy with the two bedroom arrangement, bath tub, and cute little kitchen.  Now, the washing machine….yeah, that’s different.
