Seeing family and celebrating 81 years

We eventually got back home and everyone was there to see Oscar
and he was overwhelmed at first from waking up from a nap, but then got over it very quickly.  We had a great lunch made by Nette and were able to have some time talking.  The hardest part of the whole time was a bunch of adults not being able to figure out how to open the gift for the baby.  All of us looked at it and there were knifes brought out and we all missed the perforated edges that

would have opened it easily.
The family went out to the family plots to visit at the cemetery while Oscar took another nap and then we had some playtime before going to dinner with Joe and Nette.  We went out to the Ocmulgee State park lodge for fried catfish,
grits, and hushpuppies.  Oscar ate a couple of hushpuppies on his own and then crawled all over the place tearing up napkins, making a mess and basically amusing himself.  It helped that
the place was closing at 8pm and we were the only ones left in the place, so why not run free?  Besides the kid has to be in the car seat again tomorrow, but at least it’s a short trip to Atlanta to see Kevin and then north to Cumming to stay with Kevin, Lori and the kids.
